Viking Classic
The Viking Classic is the newest addition to the Viking Fleet and she is quite a head turner!! She is currently in Montauk and is ready for our all new “Fun Cruises”. She has been refit with a rooftop deck for sunbathing and stargazing, a beautiful bar, and new brightwork that makes her shine! The restoration of the Classic has brought a lot of joy to Paul, giving him the opportunity to save a vessel that was designed by his father Carl in the 1960’s. There will be Sunset Cocktail Cruises, Eco & Lighthouse Tours and One Hour cruises where you can lounge and take in the beautiful sights. All of these new trips are NOW available for booking!!
Viking Fivestar
The Viking Fivestar is quite a beauty as well as being a fishing machine! She is outfitted with all the latest and greatest fish-finding technology, as well as immaculate finish work to make her the most luxurious and comfortable charter boat around! She specializes in private charters and incredible offshore adventures. You can also jump on one of our split charters to see what see is all about. She is available NOW for booking!!

Viking Superstar
The custom designed Viking Superstar, operates most of our ferry routes unless otherwise noted. The Viking Superstar was custom designed by Captain Paul Forsberg for the waters of Montauk. The Viking Superstar is 120’ long and is a high-speed ferry featuring a stable ‘anti-seasickness’ design. There is comfortable seating for 225 passengers both inside and outside. The boat is heated and air-conditioned for your comfort. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase onboard. Special extra comfortable seating was sourced in Australia and installed on the Superstar for your comfort. There is adequate storage for bicycles and surf-boards onboard also. The three deck Viking Superstar features a fabulous upper deck photo-opportunity deck to help you capture that special moment when you arrive at your location!
Viking Starship
The Viking Starship is 140′ long, she is licensed for 150 passengers. The Viking Starship is equipped with 70 navy style bunks below deck, reclining cushioned chairs at cabin level and a hot shower room. The boat has a very large heated cabin that is 80 foot long. There are 150 rod holders. There is a full galley in the cabin and all tackle is available onboard.
The Viking Starship is great for large events such as wedding and birthday parties. The large top deck accommodates a DJ or you can upload playlists to blue tooth speakers.
Viking Star
The Viking Star is 104′ long, she is licensed to carry 125 passengers. She was designed and built by Captain Paul Forsberg to navigate and fish the waters of Montauk in comfort. We have 110 rod holders at the rail. She is equipped with a full galley and tackle store. Hot meals and hot beverages are available for purchase during your trip. Indoors in our heated and spacious 65 foot cabin we have seating for 72 passengers. Outdoors we have seating for 75 people on the top observation deck and 76 people on the main fishing deck. There is also plenty of space to accommodate your coolers. When we are offshore fishing we have 44 bunks and there is a hot shower room available. The pilot house is equipped with top of the line technology, to help our USCG licensed Captain’s find you fish!
Viking Starlite
The Viking Starlite is the newest additon to our fleet and will begin sailing in 2020! It is the perfect boat for your small group charters. She is licensed by the United States Coast Guard to carry up to 85 passengers. We typically carry a range of 1-50 passengers for your fishing comfort however, we can accommodate your group depending on your trip requirements. The Viking Starlite is one of the very few charter boats in Montauk that is licensed to carry over 6 passengers. The Viking Starlite is fast and comfortable. She’s equipped with twin diesel engines, diesel generator, Garmin GPS/ chart plotter, radar, several vhf radios and the latest in color fish finders. Her spacious deck is equipped with individual rod holders for each angler. The large cabin comes complete with two bathrooms, galley area (for laying out food), cushioned bench seating and a 15 case beer/ soda icebox all for the charter’s use. The large upper deck is equipped with lights for night fishing or dancing on moonlight cruises. During sunny summer days, it’s perfect for sunbathing or just taking in the sights. Our Captains and Crew are experienced and friendly. They will help you land your fish, clean your catch, and make your experience a memorable one. All rods, reels, tackle, bait and fish cleaning is included in your trip. We can fish for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Fluke, Sea bass, Porgies, Blackfish, and more! We will custom design any fishing trip tailored to your needs.
Viking Freedom
Viking Freedom Sail assisted commercial fishing and research vessel. The Viking Freedom was designed and built by Captain Paul G Forsberg. Construction by Captain Paul and the Viking crew began in 1982 and was completed in 1990. The keel was laid across the street from the Viking dock in the Block Island parking lot. She is 60ft long and 15.3ft wide. The vessel has a 6ft draft and has the capacity to hold 3800lbs of iced fish. The Viking Freedom sails and fishes up and down the coast from Montauk NY to Tarpon Springs FL. During the summer in Montauk the Viking Freedom primarily targets Tuna and Swordfish. During the winter in Tarpon Springs she fishes for Snapper and Grouper on the Florida Middle Grounds sailing from the Viking Landing in Tarpon Springs FL. While fishing, the Viking Freedom is constantly searching for Hot New fishing grounds to be explored by other Viking vessels. To date, the furthest the Viking Freedom has sailed is from the Canadian Hague Line to the Island of Trinidad next to Venezuela and back to Tarpon Springs FL.
August 2011 Viking Freedom Update:
Viking Freedom is an all steel 60ft vessel. She has 6 water tight compartments and holds 800 gallons of fuel as well as 600 gallons of water. The Freedom has a 600 gallon live bait well, and is powered by 4 cylinder diesel engine. She does 8 knots on the power without sail and burns 1.5- 2.5 gallons an hour. She has recently been seen fishing off the coast in Louisiana and Texas. She’s one of a kind and is the only known sail assisted commercial fishing vessel on the East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico and is keeping quite busy!
