Sun Sept 5- 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Capt. JR reports a good morning aboard the viking Star. We caught mostly Porgies and Seabass today with a few Flukes in the mix. The pool winner was James Massa from Watermill, NY, with a 4.25 lb Seabass. The second pool winner was Caden Smith from Mount Sinai, NY, with a 3.75 lb Porgy.

Wed Aug 25- Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Seabass

Capt. Dave reports a slow start to the trip over by the Lighthouse this morning. Over by the Lighthouse we caught some small to medium size Seabass but because of the storm our fishing grounds were all messed up so we wanted to try something a little different and went off to the East. Over in the deeper water we caught tons of Seabass and some nice size Porgies. Overall we had a pretty decent pick today with lots of medium to large Seabass and some medium to Jumbo Porgies. There was a tie for the pool today; Samuel Gomez from Islip, NY, and K.T. Morris from Westchester, NY, with a 2.3 lb Seabass.

Wed Aug 25- 1/2 Day Fishing AM

The pool winners were Tom Byrnes from Port Washington, NY, with a 4.5 lb Seabass. The second pool winner was Lind Ploce from Shir Michaels, NY,NY, with a 3 lb Seabass. Full report to follow.

Aug 16 – 1/2 Day Report AM

Captain JR reports great trip this morning on the Viking Star. Lots of action all over the boat. Big Porgies and Sea Bass were the main source of excitement bending rods at a furious pace. Anglers also captured a few very nice large fluke to top off their buckets. Pool winner was 10 year old…

Fri Aug 6 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Captain Jr reports, we had a very productive morning on the Viking Star. We had lots of action the whole trip with Sea Bass and Porgies being the predominant catch. We were very happy to see a few nice XL Fluke come up as well, one tipping the scales at 11.25 lbs!!! The pool winner…

Thrus July 29- 1/2 Day Fishing AM

Captain JR reports we had a decent pick of Sea Bass. Few Porgies in the mix and a couple very nice keeper Fluke.The pool winner Liam Nagle from Mahopac N.Y with a 4lb fluke.

Tue June 29 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM

TUES NOV 19- VIKING FLEET TRIPS ARE SAILING!

BLOCK ISLAND JUMBO PORGIES SAILING TOMORROW! Captain Davey is anxious to get back to Block Island and get back on the fish. Fishing has been great the past few weeks. Plenty of mixed size Porgies, quality Sea Bass, Bluefish and Cod. The fish should be hungry after having to find their own food for the past three days. Fri Aug 23 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt Dave G reports a good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We started the trip by picking up a couple nice keeper Fluke. Then we made a nice catch of Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass. Overall it was a very nice trip. The first place pool winner was Chris Maniatis of Brooklyn NY with a 5.85 pound Fluke.  The second place pool winner was Tim Doheny of Yonkers NY with a 4.9 Fluke.

Sun Aug 18- 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Capt Dave G reports a good afternoon of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. We started the trip catching jumbo Porgies and a few Sea Bass. Then we finished up the trip by catching some beautiful keeper Fluke and a 29 ” keeper Striped Bass. The first place pool winner was Hannah Baker from East Hampton NY with a 7.5 pound Fluke and second place went to Brian Kelly from Roslyn Heights NY with a 15 pound Striped Bass.
