Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports that today’s porgy trip had a slow start but instantly picked up. Lots of mixed size fish were coming over the rails, and just about everyone hit their limit. He said 99.9% of the porgies that were caught were keepers. A few sea bass, and one striped bass were also caught and released unharmed. There was no pool today, but biggest fish that was caught was just a little over 3lbs.

Whale Watching Schedule – 2018 We are happy to announce the schedule for 2018. We had 100% successful sightings in 2017 and are excited to get back out there this summer! There has been a time change and an additional date added. We will begin sailing on Sunday July 1st and continue thru Sunday September…

Schedule Update- Our next scheduled date to sail on the Block Island Winter Cod Trip is Sat Feb 3. The trips for  Wed 31, Thur 1 and Fri 2 are cancelled due to bad weather.

Schedule Update Unfortunately the Thursday Jan 18 – 4am Block Island Winter Cod trip is cancelled.  On a good note the weather is looking fantastic for Friday Jan 19 and we are planning to  sail at 4am. Schedule Update – Thur Jan 11 Block Island Winter Cod Trip is cancelled. Fishing was very slow today on the Cod grounds. We will get back out there after this next blow and hopefully fishing will have improved. We are watching the weather but as of now our next trip is scheduled to sail on Sun Jan 14 at 3am. 1/2 Day Fluke AM Captain Bill reports an ok day of fishing aboard the Viking Stariper. The bite was slow but we still managed a few nice keeper fluke and sea bass. First place in the pool went to Ryan Shores of Cortlandt Manor NY with a 5lb fluke and second place went to Ira Schwartz from Bayshore NY with a 4.2lb fluke.
