Refunds & Cancellations

ALL TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Should you fail to make your scheduled departure time, your ticket will no longer be valid, and therefore you will be required to make a new reservation.

All reservations are non-refundable. We are happy to exchange a reservation for you provided there is space available on the departure date and time you wish to exchange to. If you need to exchange your reservation, a $10 fee per ticket will be charged.
If you are unable to travel on the date you reserved, the reservation may be applied toward another reservation and is good for 1 year from the original intended date of travel. Viking Fleet must be notified before your original travel date in order for your reservation to be honored at a later date. A change fee will apply.
If you wish to cancel your reservation prior to departure, a $25.00 service fee per ticket will be charged.

Over our years of operation, we have had very few instances where we have needed to cancel our trips due to weather. If a weather cancellation should take place during a departure you are booked on, we make every effort to contact you using the telephone number and email address provided in your reservation. You will be offered a full refund or moved to the next departure.

Viking Fleet cannot guarantee any trip length as travel times may vary due to weather, tides, sea conditions, and/or other unforeseen circumstances. Viking Fleet at its sole and absolute discretion reserves the right to cancel any scheduled trip and/or substitute another vessel without liability if it becomes necessary for any reason. Viking Fleet does not guarantee that the service shall depart or arrive at the time stated in the schedule and will not be liable for any additional travel costs incurred by the passenger as a result of any cancellation or delay.

The Viking Superstar is designed to carry passengers and is not equipped to carry vehicles. Coast Guard regulations do not allow us to transport engine-powered vehicles or gasoline.

Yes! We do transport bicycles and surfboards for a nominal fee. Please be sure to include that you’ll be bringing a bicycle or surfboard when booking your reservation.

We welcome pets on board our ferries, but they must be kept on the outdoor decks with a leash. Small pets in a carrier can be brought inside the vessel. Service dogs are permitted on board.

There is plenty of space for luggage.

No, we do not reserve seats. Seating is first come, first served as passengers board.

The first decks of our vessels are handicap accessible. Keep in mind that, due to tides, the elevation of the gangplank varies, and it could be a steep incline. Our mates do their best to accommodate any needs.

Smoking is allowed outside on the back deck only.

Yes. If you realize you’ve left something behind, please contact us and we’ll make every effort possible to reunite you with your lost item.

The Viking Superstar was custom designed by Paul G. Forsberg for the waters of Montauk. It is 120’ long and is a high-speed ferry featuring a stable anti-seasickness design. The interior cabin is air-conditioned. There is plenty of comfortable seating both inside and outside. The three-deck Viking Superstar features a fabulous upper deck where you have a photo opportunity to capture that special moment when you arrive at your location!

Yes! There are parking options in Montauk and New London, CT.
In Montauk
Parking is across the street from the office. Parking is $15 per day. You will receive a parking pass when you pick up your tickets. Please display the parking permit on the dashboard.In New London

Reservations & Ticketing

We do recommend making advance reservations, especially for travel during our peak summer season (July – August). Reservations can be made online, over the phone, or at our ticket office in Montauk.

Yes, pre-payment in full is required to secure a reservation. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended. Tickets may be purchased at the vessel on the day of travel in Block Island or New London on a first-come, first-served basis; however, we cannot guarantee availability.

Yes, for children 5 – 12 years old. Children ages 4 and under are free.

Viking Fleet reserves the right not to accept any passenger under the age of 13 years unless accompanied by an adult.

All passengers must present a valid confirmation letter along with proper identification to check in with a Viking representative in the office to receive his/her tickets prior to boarding the vessel.
