Mon Oct 17- Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports a very good day of fishing today on the Viking Star. We fished up close in the shallows off Block Island this morning, mostly drifting where SeaBass fishing was hot. We had SeaBass of all sizes from 4 inches to 4 lb with some medium to large sized Porgies in the mix. After easily catching our limit of SeaBass we worked our way into the deeper water to target the Scup, we had a nice selection with a slow and steady pick. We also did jig two Striped Bass, but unfortunately they were too big for the slot limit so we could not keep them. There was no pool on the boat today. Once again we will be sailing in the morning at 5am with a light load, SeaBassing has been hot so don’t miss out!
