Sat Jun 1 – Montauk Spring Porgies

As reported by Captain Dave, the full-day trip had a great start, catching large jumbo porgies, which lasted about 2 hours. After this, there was a bit of a dry stretch, but once Captain Dave had the idea of moving towards deeper waters, the trip started catching an immense amount of kingfish with some 5-pound weakfish scattered in. Our pool winner today was Kacinda from Bay Shore, New York, with a 3-pound porgy. Our edible pool winner was Saua Paulino from New Jersey with a 5-pound weakfish. We will be sailing again tomorrow at 5 am.
