Friday June 6 to Sunday Jun 8 – 31 hours Nantucket Fluke Sleigh Ride LTD

Capt Steven Forsberg Sr. reports a great offshore fishing trip on the Viking Starship. The fluke fishing was good, and people managed to catch several nice-sized fish. Sat Jun 7 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Captain Dave reports that we kicked off the day at the Lighthouse with a light pick to start things off. Afterward, we set sail for the bay, where we found a mix of porgies in various sizes. The morning bite was a bit slow, but the action picked up nicely as the day went on. Congratulations to our pool winner, T.J. from Mt. Vernon, NY, who landed the top catch of the day, a 2.5 lb porgy! We’ll be back out there tomorrow!

Tue May 27 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Captain Dave reports that we had a great start to the morning with flat, calm seas and warm weather. The bite was excellent early on, with plenty of nice-sized porgies coming over the rails. Things began to slow down toward the end of the trip, but overall it was a solid day on the water….

Sun May 25 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM

Captain JR reports a much improved afternoon onboard the Viking Star. The change of tide also changed our fortunes as we had a steady pick of fish for most of the afternoon. Some good fluke life with some keepers mixed in, sea bass we got the pleasure of throwing back, and a couple striped bass…

May 25 – Montauk Spring Porgies

Captain Dave reports a tough day of fishing today. The water was rough and dirty so we had a bit of a slow bite, we got some fish but not many. Looking forward to trying again tomorrow. The pool winner was Ricardo Amaya from Brentwood, NY, with a 2.3 lb Porgy.
