Thurs Oct 7th- Block Island Fall Jumbo Porgies & Knothead SeaBass
Capt Dave reports good fishing today on the Viking Starship. Started the day inshore in the shallow water with tons of action, but smaller sized Sea Bass and Porgies. The boat bounced around a bit moving farther offshore looking for bigger sized fish and landed on a good spot. They fished in about 100 feet of water and pulled up some Large and Jumbo sized Porgies and some Big Sea Bass. In total the boat had about 15 keeper Cod Fish. Overall fishing was good, it took a minute to find the good sized fish, but when they did it was all large sized. The pool winner went to Mike Emmanoulidis from Union County, NJ with a 3.5lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Frank Eisma from Baltimore, MD with a 4.5lb Sea Bass.
Sat Oct 2nd- 1/2 Day AM
Capt J.R. reports a good trip on the AM portion of the half day boat on the Viking Star. There was lots of action, Sea Bass and Porgies coming up all trip with rods bent all around the boat. The first place pool winner went to Chris Zuever from Massapequa, NY with a 3.75lb Sea Bass.
Sunday Sept 19th – Full Moon Striped Bass
Capt Carl reports similar lackluster results on the Night Striped Bass trip again… although, we did see a couple of Striped Bass for the night. We found one little zone where we caught a slot limit keeper. The very next drift, we caught another Bass that was too big, and another that was too small. Then, unfortunately the night went quiet for the remainder. We only saw 1 Bluefish and a few SeaBass so all in all, it was quiet as the fall run has not yet begun.
Sun September 19th- 1/2 Day Fishing PM
Capt Steven Sr. reports great fishing on the Viking Star for the PM portion of the 1/2 day fishing. Lots of action with plenty of Porgies, Sea Bass, Fluke and even a Trigger fish. The pool winner went to Keith McShane of Shirely, NY with a 3.5lb pound Trigger fish.
Sunday- Sept 19th Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Capt Dave reports good fishing today on the Viking Starship. Made a couple drifts close to Block Island in the morning, had a plenty of Porgies and some Sea Bass. Conditions were nice for making the drift. Fishing slowed down a bit moving offshore, but there were still some really nice sized Sea Bass and a few Porgies. The first place pool winner went to Jose Fernandez from Brentwood with a 2.9lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Edward Pimentz with a 3.6lb Sea Bass.

Friday- Sept 17th Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Sea Bass
Capt. Dave reports very good fishing close to Block Island this morning, with lots of nice sized Porgies and some nice sized Sea bass. Went offshore later in the day, had bigger sized Porgies and Sea bass, but slower today because of the East wind. More Sea bass off the island then Porgies. The first place pool winner went to Thomas Pollock of Uniondale, NY with a 2.9 lb Porgy. The edible pool winner went to Carlos Cruz of Brentwood, NY with a 4.3 lb Sea bass.
